1. Is outdoor burning allowed in the City of College Place?

The State of Washington does not allow any burning within municipalities or urban growth areas.

2. Is the Fire Department a volunteer department?

Yes, we provide the highest quality service to our citizens with a volunteer staff of 40 members. These members are supported by three paid staff personnel.

3. What is Appointment Keepers?

Appointment Keepers Transportation System is a service operated by the College Place Fire Department to assist citizens in our community with special transportation needs. Our well trained, friendly, and courteous staff is here to serve you 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Appointment Keepers provides convenient ways for our clients to get to and from their appointments, including two ADA mini buses, an ADA-compliant minivan, and a comfortable car.

4. How many calls for service does the Fire Department respond to in a year?

On average the fire department responds to 1,100 calls a year. Of those over 75 percent of them are emergency medical responses.
