Planning Commissioner Opening

The City of College Place is accepting applications for a volunteer position on the Planning Commission. Planning Commission is a recommending body to the City Council and hears land use requests such as zoning, proposed plats and comprehensive plan amendments.

Applicants should be a resident of College Place and able to attend evening meetings. Currently the Planning Commission meets the third Tuesday of each month with occasional workshops and additional meetings as needed.

The purpose of the Community Development Department is to facilitate orderly growth and development of the city; protect the health, safety, and general welfare of city residents; promote sound economic development; and protect property values. This is accomplished through the application and enforcement of the College Place Municipal Code and the Comprehensive Plan.
