Municipal Court

The College Place Municipal Court is located in the City Hall building at 625 S. College Avenue. The direct phone line is 509-522-1652 or you may call 509-529-1200 ext 16 and ask to speak with the Court Clerk.

Court Office Hours
With the exception of holidays, regular office hours are 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday through Thursday, and 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Fridays. The court office is open during the lunch hour.

Court Schedule
Court sessions are generally held on the second and fourth Thursday of every month. Court commences at 4:00 p.m. and all court sessions are open to the public.

The College Place Municipal Court processes traffic, criminal, and non-traffic tickets issued by the College Place Police Department. Non-traffic tickets include parking infractions, and anything issued by animal control.

Parking / Traffic Infractions
If you have received a parking or traffic infraction please refer to the back of the ticket for a list of options: You may opt to pay the fine in full. You may schedule an appearance before the judge to mitigate the offense. Or, you may contest the infraction. You must respond within fifteen (15) days of the date of issuance. To respond, please fill out the back of the parking or traffic ticket and return it to the court location listed on the front of the ticket.

Failure to respond may result in additional fees and the state may suspend your privilege to drive for non-payment.

Criminal Tickets
If you have received a criminal ticket, the mandatory court date is on the front of the ticket. Failure to appear will result in a bench warrant for your arrest.
