Wildland

College Place Fire Department has participated in the Washington State Fire Resource Mobilization Plan since 1994. Our equipment has evolved over the years until 2003, when the City of College Place made a committment to open the College Place Fire Department Wildland Division. In 2003 the City purchased two Type 6 Wildland Engines and one Type 2 Tender.

College Place Fire Department has 14 Red-Carded wildland firefighters. Qualifications range from Wildland Firefighter 2 to Division/Group Supervisor. Through a cooperative agreement with local fire contractors, College Place Fire Department can offer two Wildland Fire Strike Teams of Engines.
